Top 3 things to do in Australia (Outdoors)

If you like the outdoors, check out these 3 things you can add to your travel itinerary whenever you visit Australia.

Australia is a huge, sprawling place with a lot to see and do. At times, it can be overwhelming. You want to hit the landmarks (or perhaps, you’ve already seen them), but you’re wanting some lesser known activities, and you’re tired of scrolling on Google. I’ve compiled a list of some unique travel spots down under (particularly New South Wales), so if you’re after some outdoor activities, read on.

1. Go Strawberry Picking at Ricardoes Tomatoes and Strawberries

Located in Port Macquarie, this activity is super relaxing. It was a real treat to walk down the length of fresh strawberries, picking them right off the vines and filling my bucket up with them. It’s super picturesque (especially for those of us that like Instagram, I know I do!). Add this to your travel itinerary (and don’t forget to buy the fresh jam on the way out!).

2. Get on a Boat Tour to Taronga Zoo

Located in Sydney Harbour, I did this in December, so I got amazing views of the crisp, blue water and the clear skies, all with the iconic Opera House and Bridge behind me. It was around 15 minutes, and this drops you off at the historic Taronga Zoo. It’s home to more than 2,600 animals and approximately 150 species, so you’ll be sure to have a full day’s outing.

3. Take in the views of Blue Mountains

This one is much more well known, but there’s so much to see and do here that if you’ve visited before, you’ll certainly want to visit again. For example, why not take in the views in one of the sky cars? Or take amazing pictures by the waterfalls nearby?

Australia is a vibrant, sprawling place – and this of course isn’t even the tip of the iceberg! Why not sign up to my newsletter to keep up to date with amazing unique travel spots like this?
